Life is so bumpy? Each day is so painful? Heart is so big
but arms are so weak? Being driven by the inertia of life and hard to take a
turn? Each day I am thinking, thinking about how I can be a better man
tomorrow, but never even spend a minute appreciating the things that I have
done today. I used to think that I achieve as many as I want because ambition
is limitless, but I did not realize that if I take too much out of my life, I
am also taking away happiness. Life is just like an area made up of soil, if
you do not make effort to irrigate it, it will only be covered by wild weed,
but if you take too much out of it, it becomes arid. Therefore, I am thinking
about how to live a life in an “organic” way. Not by indulgence, not by strict
discipline, not by asceticism. It is rather a life of vigor and vitality, where
the water of joy is flowing.

The Way of Life
There are many ways of life. One can live eagerly, passionately,
willingly, humbly, or restrictively. Each way of life is preferably good for
one or several walks of life—maybe good for art, good for science, or good for
technology. But there is one way of life that is the ultimate among all of them.
This approach of life is peaceful but thrilling, aimless but willful, empty but
desirable, simple but sophisticated. There is no other way of life than this
way of life.

A kickoff for entrepreneurship
Ever since I was in middle school, I have had a dream to own
a start-up by myself. By doing so, I am not occupying any jobs but creating
jobs for people. The truth is I was not that noble at that time, I just simply
thought that I would become rich by being an entrepreneur. By now, I am not
that money-orientated, but I still hold the dream that I will be an
entrepreneur in the future. Very fortunately, the U.S. is such a fertile soil
for entrepreneurs. Intellectual property is well protected by laws;
entrepreneurship flourishes; best of all, if you really have a good idea,
venture capitals are there to examine it.
So why not try to put it into
practice, since I always have ideas about doing business. Alright, the first
step I am going to take is to start a student organization. A student
organization is the best place to examine leadership, networking and other
business skills. And I believe, I will have a lot of fun in doing this.
